【禁闻】清华"二校门"：等于权利崇拜

【新唐人2011年5月4日讯】清华大学举办的"百年校庆"在沸沸扬扬的媒体舆论中结束
了，但为百年校庆制作的特刊封面，用清华"知名校友" 的照片拼成"二校门"造型，被
最新一期的大陆媒体《南方周末》�行了炮轰。《南方周末》批评清华大学是「权利崇
拜」。

清华"二校门"是清华大学为百年校庆制作的特刊――《新清华》的封面。我们可以看
到，从清华大学毕业的中共总书记胡锦涛、前总理朱�基、人大委员长吴邦国等14名政
要占据了封面最顶端、显赫的位置。而那些在中国现代史上声名彪炳的各行各业杰出校
友们，则一律靠下靠边。

网友观察发现，清华创办人梅贻琦被放在一处阴影中，陈寅恪也显得很渺小，费孝通、
闻一多难以发现，只有梁启超还看得清楚。

《南方周末》专栏作者曹辛发表的评论文章说，特刊根据这些知名校友的职务、行政级
别、在职、退休和候任等标准，硬是排出了个上下、先后次序，把一件政治难度很大的
政要排序工作，做得几乎天衣无缝。社论还说，这样的版面语言，难怪被民间解读为
"万般皆下品，唯有权位高"。

张健（时事评论员）："中国社会最大的一个问题，就是不择手段的追求名与利。整个
中国知识界，绝大部分人面对这种强权的时候，犬儒主义，甚至为虎作伥这种行径，导
致了这个国家整体的道德滑坡。"

中国知名时事评论人士李承鹏在博文《清华大食堂》中表示，清华的这个特刊封面，不
是按照国际惯例，以�学校的先后顺序或学术成就，排列校友头像。李承鹏认为，这不
是一张校友图，是人事干部组织图。

中共喉舌《新华网》曾经刊登题为《清华大学曾培养九名政治局常委》的文章。美国《
华尔街日报》一名读者（wz1986t）提出，这是衡量一个大学成功与否的标准吗？读者
说，如果按这个标准，世界上最成功的学府恐怕非中共中央党校莫属了。

这名读者还说，看看真正的世界一流大学是怎么做的吧："900年历史的牛津大学，培养
了7个国家的11位国王、6位英国国王、47位诺贝尔奖获得者、53位总统和首相、12位圣
人、86位大主教以及18位红衣主教，影响着整个世界。但牛津的官方宣传资料中几乎看
不到这些。这所英国最古老大学甚至没有举办过像样的校庆，对学术对真理的追求让她
『畏惧名利'。"

Tsinghua's Power Worship

When celebrating its founding a century ago,Tsinghua University (TU)
magazine'sspecial edition featured a gate using photosof "famous alumni."
Southern Weekendheavily criticized it for "power worshipping."

Tsinghua's campus magazine special issue,『New Tsinghua's Centennial
Celebration' featureda gate that was a patchwork of alumni photos.Communist
party's (CCP) leader Hu Jintao,ex-Premier Zhu Rongji, top official Wu
Bangguoand other CCP officials occupy prominent positions.Some outstanding
alumni of modern Chinahad to stay below and aside.

Tsinghua's founder Mei Yiqi was placed aside.Some other well-known alumni
can hardly be seen.

Southern Weekend columnist Cao Xin commented,that Tsinghua's magazine
arranged an order,according to the alumni's political ranks. Cao said,that
with such a layout on the magazine's cover,no wonder people have
interpreted Tsinghuaas "all things are contemptible, besides the ranks."

Political commentator Zhang Jian:"One of the biggest problems in Chinese
societyis the unscrupulous pursuit of fame and fortune.In the entire circle
of Chinese intellectuals,in the face of power, most people adopt
cynicism.Some even act as cat's paw for the evildoers. Thishas led to the
moral decline of China as a whole."

Chinese current affairs commentator Li Chengpengwrote in his blog "TU Great
Cafeteria," thatTsinghua's magazine didn't rank alumni accordingto
chronological order or academic achievements.Li doesn't consider it as a
picture of the alumni,but an organizational chart of the party cadres.

The party's mouthpiece, Xinhua.net publishedan article titled, "Tsinghua
has nurturedthe nine Politburo members."A Wall Street Journal reader,
nicknamed 『wz1986t,'questioned whether this can be a measurefor success.
According to this standard,says the reader, the most successful should
bethe Central Party School.

The reader also provided informationon the real world-class Oxford
University:in its 900 years of history, Oxford has educated11 kings from 7
countries, 6 kings of England,47 Nobel laureates, 53 presidents and
premiers,12 saints, 86 archbishops and 18 cardinals.However, these are
barely seenon its promotional materials,as its pursuit of academics and
truthmade it "fearful of fame and fortune."
