【禁闻】遍地西瓜爆炸 炸出食品安全危机

【新唐人2011年5月21日讯】连日来，江苏镇江一块一百多亩的西瓜田，西瓜还没有成
熟，却像「地雷阵」疯狂爆裂，炸掉了6000多斤，瓜农损失惨重，技术员出逃。西瓜爆
炸「炸」出了西瓜膨大增甜剂的隐患，也显示出中国有毒食品的无所不在。

江苏镇江延陵镇51岁的瓜农刘明锁，承包了40多亩西瓜大棚，希望能培育出日本的「全
能西瓜」。在技术员的建议下，刘明锁5月6号开始使用「新配方」，喷洒「西甜瓜膨大
增甜剂」和「速溶钙」药水。

两天后，已经结满藤的大小西瓜竟然全面爆炸，5天内炸掉6000多斤西瓜，刘明锁辛苦
投资24万元血本无归。其他瓜农的数十亩西瓜同样开始满地「开花」。

西瓜爆炸案在网上反响强烈，一篇网易微博就引来15万多的点击。「不炸不知道，一炸
吓一跳！」大多数网友对「添加剂」的无所不在感到震惊。

在108楼的网友说：「前两天买的西瓜，那个甜啊，吃得我心里发毛啊！果然是问题西
瓜！敢问，在中国，还有可以放心吃的东西不？」

还有网友爆料：「岂止是西瓜，水果都使用膨大剂，我买苹果的时候就发现不少苹果都
开裂了，以前哪有这事呀。」

继西瓜爆炸后，又传出了漂亮的带花黄瓜，其实是喷上了「避孕药」、「激素」成
分，不少民众吃了身体不适，不停腹泻。

对于中国内地层出不穷的食品安全问题，中共总理温家宝在上个月首次提出了「道德下
滑」的说法，引发了众多的讨论和分析。

时事评论员横河表示，实际中共政权从政策的制定到媒体的宣传，是全方位的「逼人下
水」。

横河：「国际上现在有一个普遍接受的说法，说这个世界上绝大多数不信神的人在中
国。不信神、不信报应的结果，就是什么坏事都敢干，因为在这里人类的约束是从信仰
到人类普遍认可的道德，然后才到法律。」

横河观察，这么多年中国在共产党的统治之下，造成民众形成了这么一个观念，就是「
致富光荣，而信仰有罪。」

横河：「在中国，它是通过中共的打击信仰，然后强制的在全社会推行无神论和�化
论，而把金钱作为唯一的可以被当局承认的价值体系，来实现整个道德败坏的。这个实
际上就是唯物主义的实质，彻底的唯物主义者为什么是无所畏惧的？就是他没有了信
仰。中共在中国制造出了一个没有道德的社会氛围，所以这根本就不是一个道德滑坡的
问题，而是当局故意摧毁的问题。」

有香港媒体评论，「一个连起码的食品安全都无法保证的政府，为什么要对维权人士盯
住不放呢，北京能让艾未未、赵连海等人失踪，为什么不能让奸商失踪、毒食品消
失，让百姓过上幸福生活呢？」

一位网友感慨，「普通百姓是最受伤害的群体，最终导致的是：我们的子孙畸形，我们
的国家将灭绝！而这是不完善体制下国家的灾难。」

Watermelon Explosion Reveals Food Safety Crisis

For the past few days, a small filed ofunripe watermelons in a Zhenjiang,
Jiangsu Provincesuddenly exploded like land mines.Melon growers lost over
3,000 kilograms (6,600 lbs)of watermelons and the field technician fled.The
watermelon explosion revealed the harmfuluse of growth enhancers and
sweeteningagents in watermelons, as well as the fact thatChina's toxic food
is a worldwide problem.

Fifty-one-year-old Liu Mingsuo, a melon grower inYanling Town, Zhenjiang,
Jiangsu Province,was growing Japanese "quality watermelons" in hissmall,
leased greenhouse. As the technician suggested,Liu started to use a "new
formula" consisting ofgrowth enhancers and sweetening agents and a"calcium
solution" in his field since May 6.

After two days, Liu's watermelons started to split oneafter another and
over 3000 kilograms (6,600 lbs)of watermelons were ruined. Liu's investment
ofRMB240,000 ended (US$37,000) was totally lost.Other melon growers also
experienced thesewatermelon explosions.

This watermelon explosion phenomenaaroused strong reaction among netizens.A
single micro-blog about the problemgenerated over 150,000 clicks."We knew
nothing about this phenomenabefore the explosion and are shockedafter it!"
Most netizens were very surprisedby the widespread use of dangerous plant
additives.

One netizen said: "The watermelon I boughttwo days ago was so sweet that I
even got scared!It's definitely a major problem! Is there anythinghealthy
to eat in China, nowadays?"

Another netizen said:"Besides watermelons, mostfruits are sprayed with
growth enhancers. I foundmany split apples while shopping. Nobody hasever
seen anything like this before!"

After the watermelon explosion phenomena, it wasrevealed that the beautiful
flowering cucumbersthat people were selling, were actually sprayed
with"contraceptives" and "hormones",which made people very sick, causing
diarrhea.

Faced with the endless food safety issues in China,Chinese Communist Party
(CCP) Premier Wen Jiabaocame up with the expression, "moral corruption,"for
the first time last month,arousing extensive public discussion and analysis.

A commentator, Henghe, said that, the CCPregime has been "forcing people to
do immoral things,"through strict media censorship.

Henghe said: "It is a widely accepted fact thatChina has the most atheists.
Atheism andthe lack of spiritual beliefs have caused peopleto dare to
commit all forms of evil.The constraints of people's behaviors are
beliefs,universal principles, and the law."

According to Henghe, due to the CCP regime'sheavy-handed control of China,
for decades,people have formed the idea that "being richis honorable but
having spiritual beliefs makesone feel guilty" as having spiritual
beliefsgoes against the CCP atheistic doctrines.

Henghe: "In China, the CCP pushed the practice ofatheism and evolutionism
onto the masses,after it suppressed traditional Chinese beliefs.It treats
money as the only officially approvedvalue system and has thus corroded
social morality.This is materialism's essence.Why is a complete materialist
so fearless?He doesn't have any belief system. The CCPcreated an amoral
culture of thought in China,so it is not a problem of moral corruption,but
a problem with the CCP authorities whointentionally destroyed people's
traditionalsense of morality."

Some Hong Kong media commented,"Why doesa government, which cannot even
guaranteebasic food safety, closely watch those human rightsactivists? If
the authorities can cause good people likeAi Weiwei and Zhao Lianhai to
disappear, why not letthe profiteers and toxic food disappear andmake
people's lives better?"

A netizen said,"Civilians are the people who sufferthe most, causing our
descendants' thinking to becomewarped and deformed. If this happens, our
countrywill cease to exist! These disasters are brought aboutby the
deficient CCP system."
